OMNI

What is OMNI® Surgical System?

the OMNI® Surgical System is commonly used during cataract surgery (combined procedure) to treat mild-to-moderate glaucoma by lowering intraocular pressure (IOP). It is an implant-free, MIGS (minimally invasive glaucoma surgery) device that restores the eye’s natural drainage system.

Why Use OMNI During Cataract Surgery?

Target All Three Resistance Points:

➡️ OMNI addresses the three main points of resistance in the eye’s aqueous outflow system: the trabecular meshwork, Schlemm’s canal, and the collector channels.
➡️ Dual Mechanism (Canaloplasty & Trabeculotomy): The device performs both viscodilation (dilating the canal) and trabeculotomy (cutting the meshwork) in one procedure to enhance fluid flow.
➡️ Reduced Medication Dependence: Studies indicate that many patients can significantly reduce or eliminate the need for daily glaucoma drops.
➡️ Safety and Efficiency: Because it is done through the same small incision as cataract surgery, it provides a safe, quick, and convenient treatment option with minimal additional recovery time.

➡️ No Implants: The system is implant-free, meaning no foreign devices are left in the eye.
